Hot? My Ice Cream Cone Vinyl Wall Decal Might Make You Feel Cooler

This record hot summer, plus a recent group challenge prompted me to design this gigantic ice cream cone vinyl wall decal. Unlike many of my decals that are only 1 or 2 colors, I couldn't resist having a different color for each scoop flavor. In addition there's chocolate chips (the same color as the chocolate scoop) and even a red cherry for the top. That makes a total of 7 different colors!

• My Biggest Design Challenge: Getting the waffle cone to look right. The angle of the intersecting lines had to be just right.
• My Most Fun Moment: Adding that cherry on top! I had everything designed, I liked it, but when I thought of the cherry, suddenly it came to life for me.
• Application Rating: Moderate – Take your time planning out your arrangement by taping all the pieces to the wall first. Even though this is seven colors, the pieces have a lot of wiggle room and don't need to match up with each other exactly.
• Creative Home Decor Uses: Build a theme around ice cream for a playroom. Apply it to a roll-up style blind and use it for a vertical banner, or as a take-it-with-you grow chart. Display it on the wall or window of your ice cream shop.

Each ice cream scoop, the cone, the cherry, and the chocolate chips, are separate decals. You can assemble them in any creative way you want.

This arrangement of the ice cream cone would be great for a grow chart 

in your kids playroom. At 7 feet tall, they'd certainly never out grow it! 

Unless you have a really really tall family. LOL

I've got your number! House Number Door Decal

Why do you need a house number? When I first thought of doing house number decals, it hadn't occurred to me how important they are! The number one (sorry for the pun) reason is safety! If your number isn't prominently displayed, how will emergency services find you? Even with high tech gadgets, seeing that house number is still the fastest way for anyone to find your home. Why not make it easy for friends, family, deliveries and those very important emergency situations to find you as quick as possible by having your number on your house, your door, and your mailbox.

• My Biggest Design Challenge: Choosing numbers from font styles that have a consistent baseline so each design will fit a standard size area.
• My Most Fun: Thinking up themes. I have a whole list I haven't gotten to design yet.
• Application Rating: Easy – Just make sure your surface is clean. Dust and loose particals (like cracking peeling paint) can interfere with the adhesion. Stains or marks that are not on the surface shouldn't be a problem. Also, anytime when you're applying decals outdoors, choose a moderate climate, 60º or higher and too hot.
• Creative Home Decor Uses: Number decals can be used most anywhere there's a smooth, clean surface inside or outside. They can be cut any size, or I can even stack the number so they can be applied to a porch post. Work excellent Mailboxes too!
• Just for Fun: Numerology – What your House Number Means

Some of my house number designs are very decorative. If you need your decal for good identification of your home, choose one that has bold, plain numbers.

This is one of my favorite designs. It's decorative, but still bold and readable.

I currently do all my shipping through USPS to help keep costs down. I send as many decals as possible via First Class. Larger and heavier decals ship Priority Mail in the US, but still ship First Class abroad.

As with so many things in life, there's no predicting international delivery times (domestic either for that matter.) It seems to range from a few days to several weeks. So be sure to allow plenty of time for your order to arrive.

Crushed box? Occasional mishaps with boxes happen on long journeys (and sometimes even the short ones!). But vinyl decals are very resilient and even when, crushed, creased and stomped on, as long as there's no rips or tears, your decal should be fine.

The secret to reviving a crushed decal is to diligently burnish (rub) both sides of the decal with the tool I supply, before starting the application process. This will remove most of the bends and after it's applied on the wall, you'll never know it had such a hard trip getting to you.

When do I ship? The 4th full business day after you order.
This allows me time to process your order, create your decal, package it, and get it to the post office.
For example, if you order on Monday, it will ship on Friday. Order on Tuesday, it will ship on Monday the next week and so on.
